Elvis Presley’s 1956 song “Love Me Tender” inspired this two-part heart-themed cache in Daniels Park south of Colfax by Welch.
Hearts, love, and valentines – any small item that depicts this theme will find a cozy temporary home here. The final container is camouflaged, about 2" x 3” x 4 ½”. Please be discreet at both way points as muggles frequent the area.

The cache’s original inhabitants were a pair of sterling silver heart-shaped earrings, a heart necklace, a love keychain, a light-up heart bracelet, a heart locket bead craft kit, a heart ponytail holder, a set of heart-shaped hair clips, a heart figurine, and some stickers in the shape of (you guessed it) hearts.

At waypoint #1, please take care not to drop or lose the container's tiny contents. At waypoint #2 (the cache), please put the lid back on tightly. Please return each container so it cannot be seen easily.

As Elvis might have sung, had he been looking for this geocache,
“Love me tender,
G – P – S,
Guide me to the stash.
For I look toward shouting "Yes!
Found the geocache."

Love me tender,
Guide me sweet,
Never steer me wrong.
You will make my search complete
And the walk’s not long.

Love me tender
Guide me true
All my caches found.
For I sought container two
Concealed on Daniels’ grounds.

Love me tender
Guide me long
Sing with my guitar
For I’m where the cache belongs
A hearts-and-love bazaar.”

Greetings from planet Furon! I was pleased that my youngest alien clone so adeptly found the final device. Thank you for placing this unit!

Happy 14th birthday geocache! I came out to Lakewood specifically to grab this multi. Both stages are well camoed. Tftc!

I checked on the way point and final container. Contrary to the posting below, the cache container continues present in its proper location. All is well. Enjoy.

Did not find, do not care to find and hope that this get muggled. Lol

I'm going to go out on a limb, no pun intended, but I feel Elvis would never hide a cache in a pine tree.

The next time I see I am led to a cache located near or in a pine tree I'm going to turn around and walk away and complain about how much I hate looking for caches in a Pinetree.

I do appreciate the camouflage that they do provide and I do appreciate that muggles are not going to be digging around in a tree full of sharp needles and sharp branches.

No love lost here

No offense to the owner of this cache and no offense meant to others who would like these kinds of caches

A while ago, a fellow geocacher and I found the first waypoint easily but were unable to find the final due to darkness falling. Today, I was able to find the final after a bit of searching. It wasn't where I expected it to be. Thanks for the fun!

I had a pretty good idea that it was a bad idea to hunt in the dark and snow for this one... And I was right! :-)

I couldn't even find the first stage! I will be back...
