Usually for this kind of cache I don’t find the log until the very last one, this time it was a little better at container #19. Favorite point awarded. Thanks for placing this cache for me to find. TFTC.

Time to get the daily cache for the streak and might as well make it a birthday cache since there is a new challenge (there's always a new challenge). Drove to parking. It's 8 degrees, the wind is blowing, it snowed last night and the snow is so frozen it will hold me (which is saying a lot!). Perfect caching weather!. Much to my surprise the Town of Parker plows their bikepaths so took the long way (1/4 mile) around instead of the shortcut. Put the coordinates into the eTrex 30 since I didn't want any wandering around due to the C:Geo compass. Got to GZ and looked for 2-3 minutes. There it is (do the puppy dance of joy!). By my count there are 24 small containers inside the large one (so a total of 25). My normal luck held out (even without FeartheFish there) and it took until number 19 to find the log. Put it all back together and hid it nicely. TFTC!

We came down here at night (probably our first mistake) to look for caches in the area. This area is overgrown and in darkness, is apparently a hang out for every flying insect known to man. They seemed to kamikaze at our faces. After searching through vegetation that could have used a machete, we came up empty. Its possible that if we returned in the light of day, we might make the find. But no luck today.

What a day! 34 caches. 14 Traditional, 12 Puzzle, 3 Virtual, 2 Letterbox, 2 Multi and 1 Wherigo. I had been planning on a big day in Parker and while I didn’t get everything on my list, I got most of it and completed the Planetary Pursuit Souvenir challenge. Lots of great caches and good challenges. Here’s a little something about this one.

This one was surprisingly tough for me. It took me about ten minutes just to locate the container! But the coords were good, just my geosenses weren't quite on.

My success came with lucky bottle number 13! I almost couldn't believe it when I opened up to the log. Definitely a ton of work to create this. Thanks for putting forth the effort!

After we were done, my geopup Jack and I started heading back to the trail. As we did, we scared a deer right out of the little forest there! That was definitely a pleasant and cool surprise.
