We recently moved here from California and were amazed to find cachers called these electrical boxes or green boxes.  In California they are known as "boogers".  Why?  We don't know !!  We just accepted that is what they are called.  A few examples of some actual caches - Creepy Booger, City Booger, Up Above the Booger, and Hard Booger.

This is a flat log only cache (bring your own writing utensil) and yes, it is on the booger.  Very close parking.

This cache was easy to grab at night. This is my third attempt at getting to this one, as I was trying at the wrong time when lots of muggles would be walking during their lunch hour or work break in the daytime/weekdays. Much easier and cooler at night!
