For those of you who like to cache with your canine companions, I have hidden this cache in the Centennial Park off leash area. The cache is starting out with some dog toys. Be sure to replace the cache as found since this is a high muggle area. I rated the terrain at 2.5 to reflect possible slippery conditions. It would be at most a 2 when dry and a 3 if things are snowy or icy.

Be sure you have good control of your dog here as there is no fence and there are ponds that may have thin ice in the winter. Also be advised that there are time and date restrictions regarding when dogs are allowed off leash.

From the Englewood Parks website:

The person in control of the dog must: Carry a leash, keep the dog out of playground and shelter areas, be respectful of others who are enjoying use of the parks, pick up after his/her dog(s), and be mindful that some people, including those with leashed dogs, may feel threatened if approached by an unleashed dog.

Dogs may remain off-leash and must be under voice control during the following times:

March 1 - October 31 • 6-11AM & 6-11PM
November 1 - February 28/29 • 6AM-11PM

Dogs must be leashed at all other times and are subject to fines per City of Englewood Municipal Code 7-1A-3. Violations may be reported to Police Dispatch at 303-762-2438.

After getting a puzzle final nearby, I headed over here to get the nice sized cache. Although it had snowed the night before, the terrain was just fine and there was no slipping. Great caching day with Animjason and BearAdair.
