Ok, I’m a little cheater! Not a big fat ugly disgusting cheater, just a cute little starting the race before the count of 3 kind of cheater. I have been selecting varied cache types as my milestone caches as suggested by a seasoned cached since it would be “easier” to do ... well faster anyway. I got to 900 caches on April 30th and realized Woodstock would be my first mega, and that a mega is a unique cache type so I decided to make it my 1000 find. So I had a month to get 100 finds. I knew I could do it. But On May 1st I found 33, and then on the 2nd I found 21, and then the 3rd was a short run and I only grabbed 6. So now I was up to 960!

So. I had two options! And I tried the first, I really did!

With 23 days left and 40 finds to go, it was less than 2 a day. So all I had to do was not stop along my route in every new county picking up a cache, and just find one or two a day. So I drove through the first new county without stopping in the very first hour of driving to my delivery. And the pain I felt was real!! I couldn’t do it!!! So that left me with option 2.

I decided to become a cheater! I created a list with my next cache I found and labeled it “log later” and proceeded to cache to my hearts content. After that delivery I created “log later 2” for my 2nd delivery, and so on and so forth, added a few together that were short deliveries, and now, I have so many caches to log, well 137 actually.

So after the debacle of my first road trip and not knowing about the draft feature and leaving a false record of 57 counties in a day, I decided I would break them up, but also to be as accurate as possible, I will log them all this month.

But how do you log a find such as these? I decided to tell on myself, along the lines of “it’s easier to ask forgiveness than permission”

ALL logs ARE INKED with OTRCACHER without a date. Thank you for reading this ;), don’t judge me lol!

Since we always come at caches backwards, I am sure that the fact that we found this really fast is a fluke. TFTC!
