Dogs  Takes less than an hour  Recommended at night  Available during winter  Parking available  Public restrooms nearby  Picnic tables nearby  Bicycles  Horses  Flashlight required  Night Cache  Medium hike (1km-10km)

Cache has been repaired after being muggled.
You will need your flashlights and GPS to locate this cache.

This cache is a combination of a multi and a nighttime cache. It requires more than a 1/2 mile walk to locate the final stage of the cache (1+ mile round trip).

The coordinates listed are for the parking lot in Lee Martinez Park in Fort Collins. The final cache is NOT at this location.

Begin your search at the parking lot and follow the reflective markers that lead you through the woods and over the Poudre River.
Be aware of areas of possible obstacles along the way. This area is also used by horses, so be aware they may have left their calling cards behind!
Be extra cautious as you near the Poudre River which may be swollen in late spring.

Enjoy the decorated Christmas trees along the way.

You will be required to cross a small stream along the way. Conditions will vary based on the amount of melt water.

Follow the markers. After you have crossed the river a second time you will reach a tree with 2 vertical reflective markers on it. Here you will find a camoed film container with a new set of coordinates in it.

Enter these coordinates and follow your GPS to the new location where the final cache is well hidden. Final cache is a large camoed peanut butter container.

Trail to this final container will NOT have reflectors.
Please replace and hide as you found it.

May be more difficult to find in the summer months when the leaves are full and may cover some of the reflectors!

Good luck and have fun! Please be respectful of the area.

Congratulations on the FTF for Denali41.
Captured him in the process of finding the cache. Snow was heavy but it did not deter Denali41.
Congrats also on your 200th FTF.

Nabbed this one! Started it a while back. Left an alien head antenna topper.

went out to repair our cache today.
Replaced a couple of containers and put out new reflectors which should make it easier to find the final.

Was able to get out and take Suz_In for his first night cache. It was a great time to grab this a cache as we walked with the CO as they did some trail maintenance and when markers were missing we replaced to make sure this cache was in prime operating order. It is ready to be found again by cachers and I recommend it as a fun night.

The first stage of this went like a lot of others have described - went to the trailhead and was able to follow reflectors for the first leg of the journey. Then I lost them completely. Because I'm somewhat familiar with the area, I just continued on my merry way, hoping I had deciphered the written instructions properly and looking for reflectors along the way. I never found any more trail reflectors, so when I got to the end of the instructions, I began looking around and eventually located the two verticals. However, I wasn't able to find the container with the final coords. I returned today in daylight to see if it would be easier, and found lots of nice cubbyholes into which a container could be stuck, but no container. At least I know where the end of Stage 1 is, so I can come back and look again in the future.

Out with JD, KH and JR really struggled to find markers so headed out for a walk to see what would happen. Well we stumbled upon a few markers and found the coordinates by luck. If you end up in the parking lot with no direction just head out on the paved path. Last log in looked like 2014 and it was! Thanks for a fun evening

Had a little trouble keeping sight of the reflectors and went off route, but eventually caught back up with the intended path. Found stage 1 no problem. Spent at least 30 minutes on final with no luck. Bummer.

Awesome cache that we found on a rather chilly night. We ended up backtracking a lot but it was a ton of fun. TFTC!
