You might be scratching your head wondering what in the Geocaching world is a P.A.W. cache?! Let me break it down for you and hopefully they will be fun caches to do. The "P" stands for PUB Hopping! No, the the brewery kind, the Public Utility Box kind, usually painted green, but occasionally gray, beige, white and whatever other color a graffiti artist chooses! These kinds of boxes have many uses, but the main one is to reduce the voltage before sending the power to the end user. Other uses are Breaker Boxes, Communication Junctions Boxes, Traffic Control Lights, and more. They are just begging for a cache to be placed on OR near them.
Now that we have the "P", what does P.A.W. stand for? How about PUB Hopping Around Westminster!! When we hide caches in the city, we can't stick an Ammo Can or a Five Gallon Bucket on the ground, it will be gone before we can even publish the cache. So we resort to nano and micro caches, more for a "trick hide" than a "trade hide." Our hobby has room for both kinds of caches, but in the city, the challenge is to make a cache that is FUN to find due to the camoflauge of the container. This one is a log only, but it's the first time I have used this kind of container.
Let's have fun with it and if you find it, don't let other's know the secret.
