To obtain the final co ordinates for this cache, you will need to swap information with a fellow cacher in New Zealand

With the "sport" of geocaching growing in popularity and the number of geocachers throughout the world increasing, my sister and I thought it would be nice to connect our two countries in this small way. So why not take the opportunity to say hi to a fellow geocacher and work together to solve your respective "mystery" cache's.

Firstly, you will need to go to the published coordinates in Colorado Springs. The Kiwi there will tell you the coordinates to provide to your counterpart in New Zealand. Once you have this, you should log a note on "Birds of a feather cache together - The Bald Eagle", GC7HH87 stating that you are ready to partner up to swap the information you have with their information, i.e they will use the coordinates you've given them to find their final, and you will use the information they will provide to you to work out where your final is hidden. Please do not give the answer or final location away on either your note or the final log.

The information you receive from your New Zealand "mate" should be a 6 digit number which will become ABCDEF. Convert this as follows to work out your final co ordinates: -

N39 02.UVW W104 35.XYZ

Where

U = A - 2

V = B - 3

W = C - 2

X = D - 3

Y = E + 5

Z = F + 2

Please mention who you partnered up with in your final log, and only partner up with one team.

The clue used to be in that tree but once it was cut down there is now a temporary note about a foot away. Temporary is a relative term and it has been there a couple of months and the writing is starting to fade a bit. If in doubt about the numbers shoot me a note and I will confirm. Hoping to make a more permanent marker in the next day or so.

Didn't find it 11/17/2018 By Back Country Horsemen
The trees in the sat view have been cut down recently & the fence reworked with new posts. It is possible if the clue was in a container it has been buried or removed. We dug around in the duff and sawdust. See photo.
