Cottonwood is a beautiful lake which I visit frequently. Though the park does have some, I was walking and thought that this spot would be perfect for a geocache! The cache is a brown metal container with green lettering on the top. The spot also happens to be the site of a nice view of the mountains, I hope you enjoy!

Temporarily Disable Listing 02/05/2022 By mrjackson11
I was on a maintenance walk with my dogs to see if my cache had survived the storm and the whole stump where the cache was hidden was gone! Like totally removed from the ground ??. I’m disappointed at how short lived this cache was, so I’m disabling it until I can either find the old one or get a container and some stuff together to make a new one.

Fun find with hundreds of waterfowl and a great view. Dropped trinkets and retrieved 2 Travel Bugs. Earns a favorite point. Thanks for placing this cache. K7

I came by later in the day with my family as we were heading out to do some adventure labs so that I could grab a photo. As I got to the location, I noticed that the camouflage was removed and the cache was missing! I was so angry and couldn't believe that somebody would have taken this so quickly. My wife noticed somebody sitting on the nearby bench, though. As I approached the bench I recognized dtvman and said, "hello" with a sigh of relief. After chatting for a while when he went to replace the cache to its hiding spot, I noticed another person headed toward the area. I headed over there and finally got to meet Kroozer! Coming home tonight to write this log, I see that this was very popular today!

There are still lots of TBs to be retrieved and moved along.

Came for this one and also to look at the waterfowl. We got 3 new birds toward our yearly list.
This was also the park where my first ever cache find was back in 2009.
