CONGRATULATIONS TO JBULLFROG62 FOR THE FTF!!

After recently creating the geocache “202020202020" (GC8J743) and then reading the announcement in the Geocaching HQ Official Blog on the "Fun in all directions" souvenir that can be earned on palindrome date 02.02.2020, I simply couldn’t resist hiding this date palindrome cache. Palindrome dates rarely occur, and the continued “play” on “20" and “02" is riviting. Here’s a copy of the “Fun in all directions” image in the Official Blog. It is self-explanatory. Unlike the relatively recent 20/02/2002 palindrome date, this palindrome reads the same in the US, where dates are written MM/DD/YYYY, as in the rest of the world, where dates are generally written DD/MM/YYYY. The last time such a "global" date palindrome occurred was 909 years ago (1/1/1111). The next global date palindrome will be 12/12/2121.

 

FUN IN ALL DIRECTIONS

So make February 2nd a special caching day for you by logging a find on a geocache, an Adventure Lab, or by attending an event that day to earn your souvenir.  Make it even more special by using this palindrome cache as the one you log for your souvenir on 02.02.2020!
