Another great place for a gnome!
A Gnome Home is any crevice or break or hole in the rock where a gnome could call home. This home is in a limestone pocket near the top of the ridge. Some gnomes like privacy while others enjoy having neighbors...just not very close neighbors though. Since this Gnome Home is near the top of the ridge, this gnome has a beautiful view of nearby Roxborough State Park, and the valley behind the Hogback.  He doesn't mind it if you stop by and enjoy the view.

As always, watch out for snakes or other critters. I wouldn't recommend bringing children up to the Gnome Home.

I found the gnome & he was in his home! That was quite a challenge. I thought there would be more of a trail up here but there is not. It's rock scaling, scrub oak busting, cedar swinging work, back & forth, back & forth. Cooler today-low 70s but the sun is out in full force baking down on me. But I made it-lots of civilization below on both sides.

Finally got up here and looked with no luck..Cache owner said it was okay to log since I made the hike and spent a good amount of time up here. Cache has now been replaced so it's out here now! What an adventure on a warm June day! Earned a favorite point! TFTC!
