This cache is hidden in William Frederick Hayden Park on Green Mountain along one of the many nice trails in the park. This is the first in a series of caches.  In order to find the seventh in the series, you will need to find three of the first six.  In order to find the 8th in the series, you will need to find the other three among the first six.
Most caches in this series are along trails in open space areas west and southwest of Denver. A few are farther out there.

On the inside of the lid of you will find a 3 digit number that you should make note of because it will be important for solving the puzzle in either the seventh or eighth cache in the series.

But which three go with #7 and which three go with #8?

When I hid this cache there was just a little snow and ice on the trail and there was some mud in spots.

Beware of rattlesnakes in snake season!
Oh, and bring your own pen.

I replaced the container for this cache today. Despite the lid on the old one being completely broken, the contents were not bad so I put most of them in the new container along with some new stuff. Good to go...

I meant to bring tape for the lid, then forgot it in the car. My feet weren't up to a return trip. The contents were remarkably dry. Thanks for another Green Mountain cache.

Started this adventure at about 10am and finished up at about 3:15pm. I ended up finding 12/14 caches in about 10 miles, which I am happy with. As the day went on, more and more mountain bikers appeared. I would have started earlier, but anything below freezing is where I draw the line. Thanks for all of the caches. I know that I will be back some day because there were a few that I just did not have time or energy to grab.


The lid has a hold in the middle of it that will only get worse.

My final find of the Trail Mix series! Now I need to figure out the two answer caches. Happy to see that everything was fresh and new with this cache! No visitors in a few months. Thanks again for these puzzle caches! They got me to go to places I probably would not have gone to.
