A simple cache-and-dash.

About the Series

I wondered for a while what sort of a cache series would make sense for me. Then I suddenly realized I could combine geocaching with another of my hobbies. I'm a specialty coffee freak. I'm a certified barista, roast my own coffee (on a Behmor 1600), have a quite serious home espresso machine (Quickmill Vetrano 2b Evo), and regard cappuccino as one of the basic food groups. Thus was born the Cuppa Chino series. These will be placed near coffee-related sites that I find interesting.

These will probably be mostly cache and dashes, just because of the locations, but I'll try to watch for the opportunity to do a challenging hide from time to time.

About This Location

It seems only right to start the series here. This well-known chain of espresso shops is on my list because it introduced most of us to the very idea of specialty coffee, in a time when (ugh!) percolators were the norm in North America.

Because these folks tend to roast their coffee especially dark, they're often referred to by their nickname, "Charbucks".

Congratulations to animjason, breddawg, and 7geese for the FTF, 24 minutes after publication.

A conversation with the cacher who just reported a DNF here makes it almost certain that the cache is gone. I'll take a look, and either replace it as it was, or perhaps do a new hide here so the old hands can enjoy this site again. Smile

I looked everywhere for this one, spent at least 20 min. It may have been moved? Going to try again soon!

Out for a drive on a gorgeous summer day in Colorado. I was originally thinking about hitting a walking trail but it looks like rain could be rolling in, so I’m settling for something different. This Illinois girl thanks the CO for placing this find to calm my obsession!! Cache on??

Anne had an errand over on this side of town, so we decided to take a little walk on this trail.

This was an easier find than some in this series...

Signed the log KAJW. Took nothing. Left nothing. Thanks for the cache!

A fun, easy find! Very unusual thin mint design, I was thinking the sticker nearby was part of the cache, but I don't think so now after finding it. Thanks for placing this one, and the extensive series - I have lots of them to find yet.
Cheers!
