This is a brand new War Veterans Memorial that has taken 2 years to complete. This is a beautiful memorial and has a great view of the mountians. There is also a park across the street with a lake that you can fish in or ride pedal boats in. There is also a great play area in the park for the kids. Bring a flower along and place it in the sand pit that circles the Statue and view the names around the statue.
Both my grandpas served in World War 2. One was a ranger in the The 82nd Airborne 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment and parachuted on Normandy in June 1944. My other grandpa was a Navy Sea Bee in the Pacific Battles and helped build the bridges and structures around the island of Okinawa to prep for the arrival of the Marines and he was also did double duty as a sniper. Remember to thank a Vet for your freedom.

Feel free to share your veteran stories or family rememberance stories. I hope you enjoy this cache.
To get credit for this cache, please do at least 2 of the 3:
1: How many figures are on this memorial?
2: What is the bible verse on one of the bricks that surrounds the memorial?
3: Take a picture at the statue with you and your gps.
Logs which I don't receive verification from will be deleted.
And please DO NOT POST the answers to the Cache Questions!
Even if they are encrypted.
Thanks.

MPLC

Our English is not perfect, we use Google Translate to help us ...

Our journey began last August 22 and will take us to visit twelve US states and two Canadian provinces ... Our departure was from Baie-Comeau, a city on the North Shore of Quebec and then continue for a few days in Quebec City where we did some Geocaching .... Then we stopped at St-Eustache and Ville de Laval, still in Quebec, and then flew to Portland, Oregon... We made stop in Umatilla on August 28 still in Oregon, August 29 in Boise, Idaho, August 30 in Twin Falls and August 31st we are in Salt Lake City for two days... The 2nd of september we were in Rock Springs. Wyoming and the september 3 the road brought us to Laramie, Wyoming... On September 4th and 5th we were in the Colorado Spring area, CO ... Today we are heading to Fort Collins, CO

Throughout the trip we have targeted some caches that will help us achieve our personal goals and we will certainly discover new places that Geocachers here will want us to discover ... We have been planning this trip for several months and know we will not be able to not all see for lack of time ... There are many caches but we must close our eyes can not find them all ... But it is with pleasure that we will put our signature on some of them ...

Thank you for creating these caches that add smiles to our profile and make us have a good time regardless of the mood of Mother Nature ... Our log will be the same for the whole day and if there is a particularity we will add it at the beginning of the text ... Favorites will be added here and there for all the work done ... TFTC

Very monumental monument. Very moving tribute to those who served our country. I had 5 great uncles serve in WWII, one a scout in the Philippines, another was at Pearl Harbor, and my grandfather’s cousin was part of a bomber crew that flew over Japan.
Most recently my cousin served in Iraqi Freedom.

Summervacation in beautiful Colorado. My son and I visited the nearby Boondocks and on our way home this one showed up. A very fine memorial that I wouldn´'t hve seen if it wasn't for this fine game Approve. We admired the scene and did some calculation.
Thanks to CO for showing this place and for a fine cache Wink.

Day 50 of our cross-country road trip from Phoenix. We're slowly working our way home. Today's leg took us from Sidney, NE to suburban Denver to spend a couple of days with family, and increase our Colorado county count as we go.

The thunderstorms were closing in but we managed to get here and get the required information without drowning. This is an excellent tribute. Thanks Adams County and thanks for the virtual.

My 200th cache find today with my son. Proud of his service to our nation. Proud to be one of the many who have serviced this nation to preserve our freedoms and liberty. Thank You All for your service. We each enjoy our freedom every day because some have choose to serve.
