Found with Java Chip! We tried to find this one a year ago but got caught in a storm and had to rush down. This time we were successful! We hiked to the very top and then came down to it. TFTC!

After finding the cache on Pallavicini, I set my sights on this one. I needed about four laps to finally spot it. But the slopes were skiing great, so I still had fun. Seems to be about 50 feet NE of the coordinates per my phone. TFTC!

Earlier in the week I booked ski lessons for the kids at Keystone. Eating dinner last night and conversing with my muggle wife, the reality hit me that I "might" be able to take this off my long sought after list. It has been 2 years, 4 months and 1 day in the making.
That's 855 days!
I could say 122 weeks.
Or what sounds the best to me is 28 months.
28 months and 2,457 previous geocaches before (finally) finding my first 1/4.5 cache!
I woke up at 1:09am today. This time was tattooed in my corneas when I looked at my phone wondering what time it was. 1:09am I need to close my eyes and get more rest before getting up. Nope! That didn't happen. I laid in bed, tossing and turning.
I was irked! Around 3am I grabbed my phone and pulled up Cachly. I read about all the caches on the mountain. I looked at all the pictures over and over, trying to engrain them into my poor memory. I was mentally preparing myself to conquer this feat. Never did I fall back asleep before we left. The two hours of sleep I did get before waking up didn't help much but it wasn't going to prevent me today.
It took over three hours to get up here this morning! We left our house at 6am, everything seemed fine until we were a few miles up I-70 then traffic was atrocious! No! Not today! I will not allow all these muggles on the road prevent me from getting this cache today either! After dropping off the the family to Keystone for ski and snowboard lessons and headed up. Another muggle wearing an orange vest and had flags in his hand tried to stop me. He pointed me to the right and made me park in the Whiskey lot. I then got dressed and meditated before I jumped on a bus for the additional 3.5 mile ride up. I grabbed a map before heading off the shuttle and headed towards the Black Mountain Express chairlift with snowboard in hand. The line was long but I didn't care. I was here. I was close. I could already taste the accomplishment. After getting off I then made my way towards the Norway lift and onwards to the Montezuma Bowl to find another cache I needed to fill my Fizzy.
This was now the last cache I needed to complete my biggest goal in Geocaching. I thought the visibility was poor on the bowl until I came over the hill. Reality slapped me in the face. The wind ripped layers of my epidermis off my face! This next cache was not going to be easy. It was going to tear me and push me to my physical limits today.
I was exhausted from the lack of sleep and the physical exertion I endured to get the other caches.
I had to make my way down the mountain to then get on the Pallavicini lift. I was joined by a cute gal on skis who said, "Are you confident with your snowboarding?" Of course I am but it didn't help that I was in zombie mode (exhaustion) by now.
I worked my way down the cornice until I realized I was in the wrong spot on the mountain. Great now I need to cut 0.3 miles over THERE! This is NOT going to be easy! In fact it was a complete pain! I sat on my rearmed and pushed my way over until I was 800' above the cache. Carefully I zigzagged my way in and out of the trees. Phone in hand I constantly checked to see how far away I was. There it was! I can't believe it! Again, the harmonious sound of accomplishment vocalized the skies...you know the one I am talking about...the aaaahhhhhhh!!! It was a glorious sight! It was a miraculous moment! My heart raced and I couldn't help but smile. I whipped out my phone and took a picture.
I was so cold.
I was absolutely exhausted.
My excitement and 185bpm heart rate made me feel warmer, however I could barely write my name once again! I scribbled my handle on (one of the most magnificent) log(s) I have ever found. I am awarding you a favorite point for the experience at hand, for making me smile upon seeing the cache and helping me complete my Fizzy. This just might be my most favorite cache!
