Here was the iconic corner grocery (Gold's Market) , owned by Bob and JoAnn Gold,  which once served the neighborhood with a Scandinavian flare and with the friendly, old home town feel and home deliveries with a smile. Operated from 1988 to 2014 until they retired.

What was really unusal, was it sat above the old 12 lane Paramount Bowling Alley which closed their doors in 2019.

New developers are hoping to revive this 63 year old building with new and remodeled ideas and hope for the area.

crying The old will be sadly missed, but does leave their friends and neighbors with many fold memories.... ty

Your gps may jump around a bit, but take your time.

Noticed a January placement date and couldn’t resist even though we already had 6 finds for the day. We had just enough daylight. As we arrived at the GZ the rain started. Eventually we made the find, thanks to some previous logs. TFTC

Why could this tower be here? Found the cache very low with a damp log. But I think it will dry.
Today I have some spare time while my wife is in Florida visiting friends. So I busied myself by finding caches. Not many better ways to spend my time, in my opinion. I found some lab caches, traditionals, and puzzles. The weather was decent and still windy. I had Noodles for dinner before heading home and finding a few FTFs.
Thanks for the cache!

Gold’s Market was a well-known landmark in this part of town for many years, but time marches on. Signed log. Thanks for the cache!

I love the name! It is clever and it ties in nicely with the history of the area. I remember seeing Gold’a Market on walks and bike rides at Crown Hill Park. From your description, I wish I had gone to shop there. This was a quick find for me; but it’s pure luck. Sometimes I can find em quickly…sometimes it takes me ages. TFTC, MinieB.

Boy, did I end up making this one harder than it was! I suppose the coordinates were a wee bit jumpy, but that's still no excuse for how long it took me to find this. I'm ashamed of myself.

I did go bowling one time with my wife and son at Paramount. It was pretty much the lowest price place in the area and a fun place to bowl. I never shopped at Gold's Market, though.
