The views along this trail are awesome. Pick up a few other caches along the way. This trail is part of several loops, so if you have enough time, you don't need to return the same way. You are looking for a camo pill bottle about the size of a soda can.
Who would have thought of riding a unicycle on hiking or mountain biking trails? Kris Holm pioneered a new sport -- mountain unicycling -- and when my son and I saw a documentary of him unicycling in Bhutan, we were intrigued. "Let's get one, Dad" my son declared. And so we did.
We set a goal of riding our unicycles on South Table Mountain, which you can see from this cache's overlook. Once the trails dry, I promise to ride my unicycle on this trail to check on this cache. If you see a one-wheel maniac, say hi. It might be me.
Learn more about mountain unicycling by watching this video interview of Kris Holm. Inspiring footage. Then watch him develop his skills, year by year, from a 12 year old onwards as he masters the fine art of balance and intertia.
