The Challenge


Each of us know how many finds we have. Adding all favorite points of those found caches is normally unknown. This number can change daily. This challenge is to find caches that when added together equal 10,000 favorite points.

The favorite points of any cache types found on any day count toward your total. There is no requirements for a number of caches found, just that their favorite points add up to 10,000 or more. No location limits/requirements.

Use the challenge checker below to see how many favorite points you have found. You may sign the log before completing the challenge. If you have done this, please use a "Write note" log to record your find and then a "Found it" log once you have completed the challenge and found the cache.

Logging Instructions

When logging, just state that you have used the challenge check and met the requirements of the checker, then any personal remarks for the logging. (or a note that you have not met the requirements and will be back-LOL)

Do not list all the caches you have found and how many favorite points they have.
We'll work on the honor system.
The checker will stop checking after it has found the required 10,000 points. You may have many more, then you only need the 10,000.

Was picking up some challenges in this area today and didn't realize that this one had been disabled between when I had loaded it and today. After a thorough search, reached out to the CO who confirmed that he removed the cache and gave me permission to log it. The checker is green! Thank you for this challenge!

Well here it is Challenge Cache day!! Out of the 10 new challenges we qualify for 6 of them. Love increasing this stat. So maybe I will make a challenge out of all the challenges I have found. Anyway great to see these. Keep them coming.

Some may say we are crazy, but this game/hobby is one of the greatest gifts. Who doesn’t love a great scavenger hunt. Hiking, biking or driving hundreds of miles to sign our name on a piece of paper. This brings us a lifetime of joy, and new friends from all around the world.

Stopped here with the lovable herndonrd aka Mister Disneyland - "the happiest person on Earth" as we were looking for challenges and whatever else tickled our fancy.

After searching for a while we contacted our geochum LostinDenver who told us where to look. We looked and found nothing, so we dropped a replacement container in the same location to save you a maintenance trip. Feel free to yell at me if that's a problem.

Fortunately I qualify for this challenge with only 4 caches:

GCK25B - Geocaching HQ: 4575
GC30 - Mingo: 2662
GC1169 - Mission 9: Tunnel of Light 1727
GCEB2 - The view of an "Honest Man" 1499

Total: 10,463 favorite points.

It blows me away that, at some point in the future, someone will qualify for this challenge solely with the HQ cache.

After we had everything in place, we were back in the car and off to find another one of your hides. Thanks for the fun challenge and for your contribution to a great day of caching.

Mrs. Herndonrd was off with the girls for Mother's Day, and we're celebrating our anniversary on Tuesday (even though it's today) so I'm stuck with FeartheFish and we decided to head up into this part of the Metro to work off the backlog of solved puzzles and challenges on my list and grab some others while there.

No luck finding it. Checked with previous finder and sure it was gone so put in a replacement. My note of 1/13/19 shows my qualification. TFTC!
