Tried this one more than 4 years ago and vowed that I'd come back. Ernie66 and I were looking for a "good" hike today and there just isn't too many of those around anymore. This one gave us the exercise we were looking for and this time I didn't have any thunderstorms looming over my head. The cache is in great shape. Thanks for the fun...wish you were still in the game.

Wow. I can't believe it's been almost a year and nine months since anyone's found this cache. Loved the puzzle. Although I must admit that I spent (too much) time trying to solve a puzzle in the picture in the description before I saw the actual puzzle picture further down the page :-/ Once we found the right picture, I needed The Lady's visual skills to help me. And thank goodness for the geochecker because it took us several tries. :-) Great hike and we did it in true Cachechist style. The Lady Gypsy had a foot wear malfunction on the way in and decided to hike the rest of the way in her socks (see photo). SL Traded coins TFTC Fav

I finally had a chance to get this one today! After I scrambled up to where I thought the cache would be, I looked around a bit and eventually decided to look at the picture hint. None of the formations looked right, and the GPS still said there was another 60' to go. Hmmmmm... I think kwbforest had exactly the same problem, and maybe estes01 as well. I poked around a little more and then headed back down. I little more searching and the telltale rock formation shown in the hint finally revealed itself. Moral of the story for the next cachers - if you're climbing fourth class with a little bit of fall potential then you're in the wrong spot. Great puzzle, great hike, classic Spivey hide! I dropped a nice Colorado Coin for the next person - it's fitting that it's Spivey's own coin! TFTC!!!

I looked at the GPS as I was getting close and figured where it should be. I think I added a degree of difficulty to it when I was on top and the GPS said 50 more feet, so back down I went and right to it. I still loved hiking that other one as well. TFTC SL.
