Browncoats unite!  Go grab a pen and put on your pretty floral bonnet, because nothing in the 'verse can stop you from finding this cache!  This one is named for Shepherd Book, the enigmatic man of God who knows a lot more than he lets on, played on screen by Ron Glass.

This is the seventh cache in my series based on Joss Whedon's TV show "Firefly."

I guess I read the hint wrong, thinking it said the "rock" that is special. I couldn't find it after turning over almost all of them! I should have put my reading glasses on!

I've been close to folks high up in the Alliance military. They do their years, make their name, then retire surrounded by honor and wealth. Not enough hours in the day to attend all the functions they are invited to. Play golf the rest of the time.

Derrial Book is a real enigma -- clearly is a high-up and has top-secret access to Alliance assets, yet here he is on Serenity. What is he running from? And is he really a preacher... or a spy? And is the Alliance going to chase after us looking for him? But here we are, he's been out of the abbey two days and he's already beaten a law man senseless and fallen in with criminals. He's one of us now.

Another planet, another mission. Book was insistent on coming with us to get the payment this time. Almost like he knew something was going to happen. Then all Guai broke loose. He aimed for the kneecaps since the bible doesn't specifically exclude that form of attack. Soon enough all the defenders had been nullified and we were free to enter.

We made it to the designated coordinates and set about finding the payment envelope. Thankfully, it was sheltered from passersby and very well disguised. We found it but it took a few minutes. The armor plating was interesting... is there a problem with rodents on this planet? I signed for the payment and we were on our way. Shepherd Book -- still an enigma. Someday I'll figure that guy out.

Despite the cold I couldn't resist a new Firefly cache today. I should have worn something warmer than my pretty floral bonnet. The coords took me right to GZ but then it took a while to spot the cache. Well done. TFTC

Had been out on a bike ride when this popped up. So after getting home and changing I went for the hunt. Easy find but not the first. It has been awhile and nice to see the Geo sense still work. TFTC SL
