Welcome to my Star Wars series. This is my second cache hidden at this spot. The container and hide are quite different. In this series you will be looking for different elements found in the books/movies. R2-D2 is a R2-series astromech droid manufactured by Industrial Automaton. He is full of tricks and is often getting his friends out of trouble. He came into the ownership of Luke Skywalker on the planet of Tatooine. He stays with the Skywalkers even after Luke.

After much whining from FeartheFish I let him come along in his desperate yet futile attempt to get to 500 points (even though I gave him 4 favorites!) and earn a totally meaningless "souvenir". So the man who never logs anything logs a DNF then gets a hint from the CO and finds it. Bets are that it will be a year before he gets around to logging the find! TFTC!

So my youngest (aka BoopaBeans) and I foolishly decide to cache with the human cactus (aka herndonrd) and stop here because it is a Star Wars themed cache and I was expecting something cool. The problem was that I had found the predecessor and assumed that the new incarnation would be something similar.

I was very wrong. So wrong that I felt like falling on my light saber. Instead I texted the CO and logged a DNF. Much to my surprise and joy, the CO replied while we were still on site and showed me what we had missed. Very clever with an awesome container - definitely worth a favorite point.

Thanks for the fun hide and the help.

Stopped by here on the way to work this morning in hopes to find this cache. Fortunately for us this was much easier than I thought it was going to be. Walked up to the GZ and found it within seconds. Either we are lucky or we are getting really good at this game. Absolutely love the container.
