Out geocaching with LASouthpaw today, finding caches in the Commerce City area. We parked at various trail heads, wandered around a bit, and had some pretty good luck with finds, and only one DNF.

I haven't been out caching much, so I was super happy to be out and about with FayColSalTom today. We cached our way through some of the more industrial areas of town. We read ahead and brought some containers and logs just in case. I was prepared for a hard day, but we did much better than I expected. The weather was nice for us, as we were finishing up a cold wind whipped up. A sign it was time to head home, I guess. We saw this one was having issues with the container and then hadn't been found in 2 years, so we made a replacement here with a comoed pill bottle. Thanks for the smiley!

I really wanted to find this, but it’s clearly long gone. This isn’t the most hospitable place for a cache.

Well, no one has found this one in 26 months. We gave it a try for nearly 10 minutes, and came to the conclusion it’s a goner. Did not do anything with this one, as I’m not sure where to put a new one. This one needs help….

This lonely cache will have to be lonely a little longer. I searched all around the area and did not find anything but trash and a lot of dead brush.

NTM and I woke up early, but not too early to set out on this caching adventure. We hit the trail at about 9:45am and made our way through our list for the day. Roundtrip, about 7.5 miles and we were back at the car before 2pm. Only 2 DNFs made for a pretty successful day before the snow starts up again tonight. Thanks for all of the caches.

Today after work I came down to this bike path to grab as many along the trail as possible. Luckily I was able to grab all of the caches intended, with only 2 DNFs.

I had to drop off my geopup on the way to the airport and wanted to grab a couple caches after as I had a little time to kill. I had targeted another along this trail to fill in a date on my Placed Date 366 day grid. This wasn’t it but was a great cache.

Parking isn’t exactly convenient but it was a nice walk over. Absolutely perfect placement. Too bad it’s not found more often. Everything in great shape here.

After some shopping at Bass Pro Shops on my day off from work, I decided to tote along my bike for some riding and caching afterwards. I rode about twelve miles and grabbed a dozen or so caches. Not too many muggles this afternoon, but definitely some shady people around here. Clever hiding spot! TFTC!
