The cache is really not that difficult. It is located at the Wolf Creek Ski Area. One container up high for winter and one low for summer! BYOP Happy Hunting!
Winter-Take the Raven or Bonanza lift and stay to the left as you proceed down the green runs. The cache is located to the right of the run just pass a "Y" in the run. Cache is about 20-30 feet off the run. Cache is attached to a limb of a tree. Cache container is a bison tube attached by green colored wire. My guess is that in the summer this limb will probably be about 9 feet off the ground. I hope this cache will make it through the extreme winter conditions. BYOP

Summer - park at the top of the pass and take the .9 mile hike or you may also use Road 725 with a short hike. Both have moderate elevation change. Use the cache container at the base of the tree in the summer. BYOP

Up at the Ravens Nest at Wolf Creek ski resort I was having lunch and decided to check my phone for caches nearby and lo and behold there was one 450 feet away. So on go the skis and I ski downhill a little way look at my compass again and find I am a little downhill from the cache. Not good to be downhill from it in the winter time so I ski to the bottom and get on the lift for a ride to the top. This time I go slowly and get within 30 feet of the cache only to find I am again downhill from it (the gps was jumping in the trees). 30 feet downhill in 7 foot deep snow means back down for another ride up on the lift. The third time I very slowly approached ground zero and spotted the cache from about 10 feet away. Alas I have the cache but have lost my pen. Ah, I do have the smart phone camera so I took a pic of the cache and log sheet and have attached it to show I found the cache which is in great condition in the middle of winter. With 7 feet of snow on the ground it is now only about 2 foot above snow level. A few more feet of snow and it will become unfindable.

Ski trip 2019! Grabbed this after visiting The Raven’s Nest. Our first time to Wolf Creek and it did not disappoint. Skied right up to the cache and signed the log. Thanks for placing this Awesome mountain cache. Add pics later. TFTC and the smiley. All is well here.

Wish I would have looked for this on our trip to Wolf Creek last week. My phone battery drained like crazy up there and my signal was so spotty. Next time I’ll remember to look for it. We had a great time on the slopes and my daughter loved her first time skiing in the Wolf Pup class.

Thought this would be a fun one to find while skiing. Tromped around in waist deep snow for awhile, but no luck.

Dunking some TB's Cache in good shape. Might be at ankle level with all the snow.

Finally able to grab this cache! This is my 5th trip to Wolf Creek since my first visit in 2004. I was never able to hunt for this one before for many reasons. This trip it was just me and my wife so I made time to hunt for it. Found it after a few minutes. The coords are pretty dang close and I used my phone.

We took the Raven lift and went right. I followed my GPS then stopped when it showed me abeam GZ. I left my skis with my wife and walked toward GZ. After several steps off the main ski path, I sank to my knees in the snow. It was pretty difficult getting there in ski boots but I managed. I took another look at my GPS, I was within 5 feet so I looked on the other side of the tree next to me...BINGO! Glad I can get this one off my list! Nice hide! Signed the log "DAS". TFTC

Had to come up here to try and find some caches over 10,000 ft. for a challenge that we are working on. Love the views up here. Not sure how many we ended up with but several. We are here from Texas on vacation.

That was quite a climb to reach this one, but well worth it. Signed both logs. Thanks!
