Micro hidden back in the trees.
Garfield, once a booming silver mine town with a population of nearly 1,000 people and 12 saloons, and a nice railroad up to it. Now, a small roadside community on the way to a popular ski area...

This is a really easy cache, not much camo to it. If you are coming here in the winter you can find it without digging through snow, however you will have to trudge through some deep snow to get to GZ. Also, the road up to the cache is steep and icy in the winter. Might be a good idea to park at the service station to the NE and walk in.

On our 21 day road trip, today we went from Salida, CO to Ouray, co. We stoped here for a little bushwacking to find the cache. TFTC!

We found replacement then I looked down and saw the original on the ground. So the original log is now in new container also. TFTH sl

Out with friends making a loop from Buena Vista, over Monarch Pass then Pitkin and back to BV via Hancock Pass a total of 145 miles. Found the replacement first and then saw the original laying on the ground. Could not find the location it was hanging from so left the replacement in the stump.

Given the recent log, the cache's difficulty, and such, I decided that after not locating the cache myself, I would replace it. So it's now a red match holder (again keeping with the cache theme). Unfortunately I didn't have a string so it's not hanging. .. instead, investigate the tree stump...
